This term with the Petits Chefs, as well as working with guest chefs, the boys get to work… with me! I love these weeks because it gives me a chance to really work with the boys closely and teach them some of my favourite recipes. This week I decided to show them one of my favourite recent Jamie Oliver recipes – a twist on carbonara pasta with a different way to make pesto – both very useful techniques!
As the boys will tell you, any good dish starts with bacon…
(my version from when I reviewed Everyday Super Food).
A healthy, colourful dish, from scratch in just under an hour – lots of great techniques learned and lots of happy tummies. I’d say that was a win!
Get the recipe for Jamie Oliver’s Skinny Carbonara with Smoky Bacon, Peas and Almonds here or in Everyday Super Food.
