Les Petits Chefs get creative with Adell Shneer

Extreme focus when decorating sugar cookies with Adell Shneer on eatlivetravelwrite.comKids handiwork decorating sugar cookies with Adell Shneer on eatlivetravelwrite.comThis week, the Petits Chefs were lucky to welcome Adell Shneer back to the school for one of our favourite guest chef sessions – decorating Adell’s delicious sugar cookies.  This was her ELEVENTH visit to to work with the boys in cooking club – we couldn’t be happier to have her willing to return year after year!

As always, we started out with a brief intro to the colour wheel before the boys started mixing their colours…

Working with the colour wheel Halloween 2018 with Adell Shneer on eatlivetravelwrite.comIt’s always interesting to see what they come up with in terms of colour combinations and this session it was definitely very pastel – unknowingly they all created colours that went together really well!

This was their inspiration (Adell made these as examples of what we were after this session):

She is very inspiring and encouraging and the boys respond well to this. Well, and the fact that they only have 4 cookies so it’s critical they do a good job! Actually they all got an extra cookie this time around  – some chose to decorate and, well, some chose not to… 😉

I love seeing their pride in their work. Thanks Adell for always being inspiring and bringing laughter and lightness into the lab!
