Paris in the summer – what’s not to love?

Paris. In the summer. What could be better? Well, for me, working in a field I love in Paris in the summer. Yes, that’s right – as well as helping Le Dolci out with their first foodie tour in Paris from July 23-27, I’m over the moon to announce that I will be part of the La Cuisine Paris family for the entire month of July.  I’ll be working on a few different projects, one of which is the “Recipe Incubator“.

Basically an idea born out of customer requests, the Recipe Incubator is a sort of a test kitchen and just for a bit of fun, we’re calling it “Lundi with Mardi” 😉

La Cuisine Paris are looking to produce a small cookbook of  classic French dishes – a perfect souvenir of students’ time at La Cuisine Paris which will help them create a classic French meal with ease on their return home !   This July, I will be hosting five free recipe testing workshops, where we will work to perfect some of La Cuisine’s favourite recipes!  We are looking for six participants per session to be our ‘testers’.  No experience is required, however we do ask that participants be keen recipe enthusiasts, have a good eye for detail and of course be enthusiastic about and interested in food !  Each group will test and work through one or two recipe/s from start to finish.  All ingredients will be provided for the class – the subject will vary and will only be announced at the beginning of the class.  The best part? They’ll get to taste the fruits of their labours at the end of the class.

I’m SO excited to have this opportunity to work on recipe testing, writing and refinements for what has to be one of my favourite cuisines. In my favourite city in the world.  Thanks La Cuisine for the opportunity!

Curious? Head over to the La Cuisine Paris website for more information about the “Recipe Incubator”.  I’m working on some more projects with La Cuisine that I will share with you soon too. *SO* excited!

  1. Wow what a great opportunity and in Paris. You are very fortunate. I’m heading over to check the requirements but no doubt you’ll probably need to live in Paris not the Midwest. Good luck on your projects. I’m sure they will go well. Thanks for sharing this bit of information!

  4. Very, very exciting! Felicitations! I love “Lundi with Mardi”. And must admit that I’m a bit jealous… with over 2 months here now and spring arriving in Europe, I must admit that I miss Paris! This will be an amazing experience.

  6. Wow! Sounds like you’ll be having an exciting summer. Oh I do wish I were going to be in Paris in July! I’d love to volunteer in the test kitchen at La Cuisine Paris. I had a wonderful time there last fall and I don’t think I’ve ever met nicer people than Jane and her husband. I also learned to make what has become my own signature dish, a sumptuous Parmentier de confit de canard that never fails to impress (especially when I casually mention that I learned to make it in Paris.)

If there’s anything I can do to help with the project (recipe test in a Canadian kitchen with groceries bought in a Canadian grocery story, proof read, or anything else) please send me an email. I’d love to help out.
