Around the world in 4 and a half weeks

Well, not quite around the world but the 12 flights I have taken in the last 33 days, it feels a little like it!! (that would be Toronto – Vancouver – Sydney – Adelaide – Melbourne – Sydney – Bangkok – Vientiane – Luang Prabang – Udon Ratchatani to Bangkok – Sydney – Vancouver – Toronto…. whew!)

I spent a short day in Sydney on my way home after Laos and briefly (well, kind of…) went through my 1700+ photos that I managed to take in two weeks and can assure you there are many Laos-related blog posts coming up over the next month or so. As I prepare to go back to work at the end of the month, my posts won’t be everyday but hey, quality over quantity, right??? There’s also the BLT extravaganza coming up at the end of next week though with the way the tomatoes are looking after the lack of sun this summer in Toronto, we might have to be getting VERY creative with our “interpretation of a classic”!!!

Here’s a sneak peek of what’s to come…

Wats (temples)

All sorts of exotic Laotian foods (yes, I would say over half my photos were of the food…)

Amazing scenery…

and, of course, lots of scenes from daily life in Laos….
