Bonne Année! Depending on where you are, you might have already celebrated (hope your headache is not too bad this morning!), you might be about to celebrate (that’s us!) or you might still be in preparation mode.
I’m sitting in our little house in the South West of France drinking pink bubbles and eating gougères cooked in a toaster oven (see! it IS possible!) and watching Neil prepare roasted Cornish hens for our dinner (also in the toaster oven – you gotta have faith!). Later, I’m hoping to get out and listen to our local church bells at midnight (they are charming anytime, I am hoping they do something special for le réveillon!). No, not exactly the wildest of plans but you know what? That’s totally ok. 2014 was kind of a wild (busy!) ride and I am looking forward to some clarity (and calm) in 2015. In March it will be 20 years since I left Australia and moved to Paris (on a one way ticket!) and in August it will be 15 years since I moved to Canada which I can hardly believe. So, some milestones to celebrate. 2015, I’m ready for you!
Thank you for reading and your continued support. Wishing you health and happiness in 2015.
XO

I’m in France for the holidays! Keep up with me on Instagram, Flickr and Twitter!
Lucky you to be in a house in France for the New Year! Happy 2015 Mardi!
Happy New Year, my friend.
A quiet evening listening to the bells sounds delightful!
Happy New Year Mardi. It all sounds idyllic. Hope 2015 is a great one.
Happy New Year, Mardi and Neil! I also had a quiet NYE – in bed by 10pm! – I totally hear you on the wildness and business of 2014, and I don’t think mine even compares to yours. CLARITY is one of my key words for 2015. In fact, it might be THE word. And there are so many good things to come. I had no idea that it had been so long since you moved from Australia. Hopefully I’ll see in you at some point in 2015 so we can mark some of those milestones together!
