Disclosure: I purchased Sweet & Simple myself (having been a longtime fan of Christina’s work).  I was not asked to write about the book, nor am I being compensated for doing do. All opinions 100% my own. Christina has generously offered a copy of the book for a Canadian giveaway!

  1. Ok, first. Where have you been all my life? lol. What a fabulous idea. I love that my freezer is not full of baking because even though most stuff is good after freezing, nothing is better than fresh out of the oven. Love this idea. I would love to see a decadent bread pudding for two. I need to go buy some smaller pans. Thanks for the review and of course the giveaway too.

  2. After throwing out a bunch of leftover pecan pie bars, in my freezer from Christmas, this is rad. I’ve love Tiramisu for two.

  3. Wow what a great book! I love baking and of course eating but the rest of the family not so much. So with this being said I don’t bake as often as I would like. Because baking and eating go hand in hand. Which mean that I’m usually eating all or throwing out the balance of the desserts 🙁 A bread pudding for 2 sounds great!

  4. I’ve been a fan of her blog for a while now. Would love the perfect brownie recipe for two. Nothing better to cap off a date night at home than a warm brownie and ice cream. And to not make a whole batch would be perfect!

  5. It’s so so very hard to bake for two! I mean, having 4 or 6 extra slices of cake is a happy problem but it would awesome to have recipes meant for small batches. Especially since I’m not always successful adjusting the recipe into a smaller batch. I’d love to have a recipe for chocolate cake or cheesecake or lemon pie for two 🙂

  6. I tweeted and now I am leaving my comment, hoping to win this book! I bake every other day, and other than us 3, we deliver to friends, neighbours and my husband’s coworkers. As Italian, I make traditional, amazing, Tiramisu, of course, but I’d love a recipe just for two and I don’t want to do the math 😉 . Thanks!!

  7. Just saw the post before me asked for the same dessert! How about Sticky Toffee Pudding for 2?

  8. I have a big sweet tooth but appreciate being able to make small batch desserts. So much easier to have multiple desserts now 😉
But if I have to choose just one I would have to say I would love to see butter tarts. Runny but not too runny butter tarts…no raisins! That’s a deal breaker

  9. I would love to see a small batch profiterole recipe! If a recipe made 6 it would be perfect – I love these sweet treats but I really don’t “need” 24 of them kicking around 😉 Good luck to everyone!!

  10. Chocolate chip cookies for two. I know there are recipes out there, but I’m still searching for the perfect crisp outside, soft inside in a small batch.

  11. Right now? Carrot cake for two (aka: two servings for me!) I just moved, can’t find anything (ahem, not trying that hard) and really, really need some carrot cake with a thick glob of icing! YUUUUM.

  12. I think my husband may get upset if I start making dessert for only two people! But my will power is non-existent. Cinnamon buns for two would be perfect.

  13. I would love to have a fresh fruit tart for two- something fresh and full of flavours.
