Giveaway: Days of Wine & Chocolate passes (CLOSED)

Days of Wine and ChocolateIf you’ve been following this blog for a number of years, you might remember a few posts about Days of Wine & Chocolate, a month-long event that takes place on February weekends at wineries in the Niagara-on-the-Lake region.  Visit the wineries for your chance to taste over 20 VQA wines matched with chocolate-infused dishes – there’s everything from sweet flavour combinations to unexpected savoury surprises. A great weekend or day trip to brighten up the dreary cold days of February!

Touring passes are $45 per person and to encourage responsibly tasting, there are also Designated Driver passes available for $25. Please designate a driver who is not drinking and purchase one of these!  Passes are valid for any of the four event weekends in February and are available for purchase here now or…..

__________

Disclosure: I have not been compensated to promote this event and I won’t even be attending myself this year although I was offered media passes (two words: cookbook deadline!). I happen to think Wineries of Niagara-on-the-Lake does a fabulous job promoting their wines through events like these, have attended many of the weekend events before and think everyone should go check it out!

I went to to this event last year and it was great! I would love to win a couple of passes. This year I am most interested to try The STREWN WINERY pairing. The 2011 Cabernet Franc Icewine paired with a savoury chocolate trio: pulled pork with cocoa on a tortilla chip, roast rhubarb with white chocolate shavings, Thai peanut butter ball in dark chocolate. Sounds wonderful to me.
