Sitting down and planning my weeks meals is a must. A little bit of time at the beginning of the week can save lots of time and money. I use leftovers wisely and create different meals so no one is the wiser that they are eating leftovers. I hate wasting food (and money). I also prep my veggies on Sunday for the week or at least 4 days worth. Makes healthy snacking so much easier too. With so many recipes online, eating new dishes is never a problem. Some are hits and some not. But we love trying new recipes.

I stay motivated for meal-planning by having the kids pick out 1-2 recipes each week. Having them excited makes it easier to stay on track.

I stay motivated by making it fun. I challenge myself to add something new and creative to my son’s lunch each day.

I stay motivated by shopping for groceries multiple times per week and making batches of rice, beans and quinoa on Sunday before the week begins. With a fridge full of healthy choices, I’m less tempted to grab takeout on the way home for work (when I’m tired from a working all day) or going out for lunch during the week because I have leftovers to enjoy.

I always make extra at dinner – like chicken so I can have it on hand to make sandwiches or add it to salads for lunch.

(I don’t live in GTA BUT I go there all the time so I would definitely put this to good use!)

Mine is to search out regional produce and great deals.
