  2. fresh ontario peaches with a drizzle of maple syrup and a small scoop of vanilla icecream. yum

  3. Right not it’s Victoria Magazine’s Cantaloupe Sorbet, just published it on my blog! Light, refreshing, cool and fabulous. Aweome stuff Mardi!

  4. Right now I’m so hooked on my home-made ice cream. I guess ice cream in any form is my favorite, but Tiger Tail is # 1 and I am determined to make my own.

  5. Oooo, Death Valley! I hope you’re going through in the morning when it’s not too hot yet. And watch out for coyotes. They tend to follow the car, begging for food.

My fave summer dessert is Chapman’s frozen Yogurt, topped with fresh raspberries, blueberries, and a drizzle of apricot ice cream sauce (recipe is here…http://tinyurl.com/29erg9t)

Have fun! Sounds like you are having a GREAT trip.

  7. Pineapple Cream Pie… but then, I would welcome that in the dead of winter as well. Too tough a question; my judgement is clouded by visions of obesity. Yikes!!! I’m withdrawing from the competition. 😉

  8. At the moment, I’m in love with the PC Tiger Tail ice cream. I used to have it all the time as a kind at my local ice cream place! Aside from them, some angel food cake with fresh, local strawberries and cream on top.

  9. Hewitt’s Chocolate and Peanut Butter Ice Cream, although I would eat any kind of their ice cream.

  10. I grew up outside Yosemite, I don’t think you’ll drive through the town depends on which way you go, but if you drive through Oakhurst think of me!

  11. You gotta love the odds on a Canadian only give away! My favourite summertime dessert is a blueberry milkshake. My dad made the best ones. He must have had a secret ingredient…

  12. My absolute favourite would be, and yes, it IS a PC product, but only by coincidence!! The Chocolate Gelato!! TO DIE FOR!!! Sorry, I can’t get into the tweets – no time for such things! 🙂 What if I posted another dessert!!?? LOL! I hope you’re not melting down there in the desert!! Say hi to Mr. Neil, and to the folks from me. See you soon! 🙂

  14. I tweeted! (sounds naughty!)

My favourite summer dessert would have to involve some local summer goodness. I’m thinking a flaky pie crust bursting with a juicy filling of local cherries. Pie isn’t complete without a scoop of ice cream so I’d churn out a batch of toasted coconut ice cream to go on top.

  15. my favorite dessert is homemade warm blackberry pie, made with the blackberries from my backyard and high end vanillia ice cream mmmm so good, and the blackberries just started so will be making some in a week or two now!

  16. Plain old strawberries and cream.

If I win, send it to my mom’s, she’ll love you for it 😉

  17. I loooooooooove cherry cheese cake… but only a small sliver because anything bigger and you’ll get a tummy ache =)

  18. Death Valley? I think you need an extra serving of whatever your favourite dessert is!
Mine’s definitely chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream on a waffle cone! (Or on an actual waffle!)

    And I tweeted:)

  19. My fave summer dessert is vanilla ice cream topped with my own home-made strawberry jam and a drizzle of chocolate sauce – delish! Hopefully I win and can pick up the ice cream and chocolate sauce with the gift card and enjoy the whole thing out of a new PC melamine bowl!

    And, I tweeted!

  20. Take one very large slice of angel food cake, blend a few Ontario freshly picked strawberries, some incredible Ontario freshly picked rashberries, freshly beaten whipped cream and a drizzle of strawberry sauce to garnish….I love STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE:-)

  21. Fav summer dessert is definitely banana boat 🙂 Classic or add a little personal twist to it… loaded with whip cream!!

  22. My favorite summer treat is Roasted Marshmallows… (Although I rarely get to have them)

  23. Strawberry or Peach Shortcake and Bumbleberry Pie are a few of my favorite summer desserts!

  24. My favourite summer treat is cut up pineapple, mango & watermelon – sprinkled with fresh lime juice & a dollop of GOOD vanilla ice cream! : ) Yum yum.

  25. Homemade Ice cream! And pie… and definitely those two together! I love fresh summer berries, always delicious!

  26. so envious . . . wishing we had PC here in western michigan . . . loving all of the products we stocked up on before leaving toronto . . .

  27. As many others have said have to go with the old standby of Ice Cream (current front runner is Dulce De Leche).

  28. 113 degrees? Crazy hot!!
My favourite summer desert of all time: Strawberry/rhubarb pie with Ben & Jerry’s vanilla ice cream…but of course:)

  29. Greetings from beautiful Vancouver Island. I am so delighted that you finally have a contest that I can enter.

My favourite summer dessert is, hands down, a fresh raspberry cake which originally called for sour cream. I substituted low fat yogurt which didn’t alter the flavour or richness but made me feel as if I was getting away with something devilish and wicked delicious.

The icing is a butter icing made with raspberries instead of milk or cream. Soooooo yummy. Recipe available if you want it.

    Cheers
