Nutella Banana Panna Cotta from Baking Chez Moi on eatlivetravelwrite.comThis week’s Tuesdays with Dorie recipe from Baking Chez Moi was a simple recipe I managed to whip up quickly on the weekend when Neil was enjoying some outside time (I’m still in self-isolation until the end of this week so we’re living in separate spaces right now but sharing the kitchen – one at a time!). I made 1/3 of the recipe for what was supposed to be 2 small ramekins but it ended up making 3 – so one for us and some for our neighbours!

Panna cotta sounds fancy and maybe complicated but it’s actually super easy. This version calls for banana mashed with Nutella as the main flavours – I like this combo but I’d probably make plain Nutella ones next time (so easy!). All you need to do then is heat some milk, sugar and cream, then pour it over some gelatin that you’ve “bloomed” and liquefied. This mixture is whisked into the Nutella mix then strained (so you don’t have lumps of banana in the finished product), then poured into the small ramekins. Those chill for about 3 hours and then you can unmold them or just eat from the ramekins. I unmolded after 2 hours and they could have used a bit more time. But they were no less delicious!
