Macaron/ MacaroOn – what’s the difference? at Aphrodite Cooks

What’s the difference between a macaron and a macaroon? Join me this class to find out! We’ll made traditional coconut macaroons, French meringue macarons and macarons de Nancy – the original macaron! You’ll learn tips and techniques for success with all three naturally flour-free treats – they’re much easier than you think!  For more details and to book click here.

French cooking classes in Toronto

French café classics at PC Cooking Schools

Join me for a culinary journey to France. In this class, you will learn to make a complete three-course meal of classic French café dishes. Your French feast features flaky Puff Pastry Mustard Bâtonnets; tasty Salade de Chèvre Chaud (warm goat’s cheese salad); creamy Quiche Lorraine; and for dessert, a delectable Apple Tarte Tatin (upside-down tart). We’ll make the pastry from scratch and store-bought options will be presented as well! C’est magnifique! Wine tasting included in this class.

Parisian treats – sweet and savoury at Relish Cooking Studio

Love Paris but can’t get there? How about the next best thing – learning to make some favourite Parisian treats – both sweet and savoury!  In this hands-on class, we’ll be preparing some classic French tea-time treats: profiteroles, tartelettes aux fruits and madeleines as well as some savoury snacks to enjoy with your aperitif – puff pastry “bâtons”, gougères (cheese puffs) and mini savoury galettes.  For more details and to book, click here.
