After snacking on the peanut butter fruit and nut snack bites for a few days, I went back to check out some more recipes (they are really more-ish!). I’d originally had my eye on these energy bites with flax but didn’t end up making them to start with but then as I was looking over the recipes again, I realised that all these ingredients would work really well in a smoothie

To the ingredients for the snack bites, I added milk and a small banana…

An easy breakfast – or anytime – smoothie.

Serves: 1 large/ 2 small

Ingredients
  • 250 mls (1 cup) milk
  • 1 small banana
  • 1 tablespoon Kraft All Natural Smooth peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons large flake oats
  • 1 tablespoon flax meal
  • 1 teaspoon runny honey

Instructions
  1. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

Verdict? I really liked this version of the peanut butter snack bites!  Somehow it felt even more satisfying than the bites themselves (definitely to do with volume, I think – a smoothie fills more of your belly!) and the flavour combination is a new favourite.  Even better, these are ingredients I always have on hand so I can enjoy my peanut butter bites in liquid form anytime!
