eat. live. travel. write. turns FIVE!

Lynn Crawford Chocolate Peanut Butter Mousse on eatlivetravelwrite.comIt’s my actual birthday today and I’m celebrating with this fabulous chocolate peanut butter mousse from At Home with Lynn Crawford.

Lynn Crawford is one of North America’s most popular celebrity chefs.  Known for her work in restaurants (including the highly-acclaimed Ruby WatchCo), she’s also seen on Food Network Canada (most recently, as a judge on Chopped Canada).  Lynn’s style is reflected in At Home with Lynne Crawford where you’ll find 200 delicious and simple recipes – Lynn’s all-time favorites that she makes at home as often as she can to share with family and friends!  The collection is rounded out with Lynn’s all-time favorite casual home-entertaining recipes that include drinks, fancy cocktails, late night snacks, and much more. At Home with Lynn Crawford celebrates home cooking at its best – simple recipes that taste great and that don’t involve a ton of ingredients (most of the recipes are one page only, which I love!).

AtHomeWithLynnCrawfordI recently had the chance to cook with Lynn  at an event organised by KitchenAid Canada and loved her attitude to food prep – it should be fun, un-fussy and easy to make delicious dishes (which we did that day, even under the clock!).  The chocolate peanut butter mousse was the dessert of the day and it was so good I knew I had to recreate it for myself.  Last weekend we spent time with dear friends and I knew it was the prefect dessert to celebrate Mothers’ Day (for my friends) and birthdays (for me). I was not wrong!  You can find the recipe for Chef Lynn’s chocolate peanut butter mousse here.

Chocolate PEanut Butter Mousse from At Home with Lynn Crawford on eatlivetravelwrite.comSo come on – grab a spoon and dig in – there are lots of reasons to celebrate today!

Because this week also happens to be my blog birthday – marking FIVE YEARS of eat. live. travel. write. I know, right? FIVE YEARS?  Who would have thought when I hit “Publish” back in 2009 that I’d still be blogging in 2014? Certainly I didn’t dare to think that I might be!  But here I am, my blog is a huge part of my life and brings me (and my taste-tester neighbours, colleagues and friends) so much pleasure.

So here’s a little something to say “thanks for reading”:

  4. Congrats on turning five! I would make something for my Mom from Lynn’s new book. My Mom is a huge fan of Lynn Crawford; we all are. She is diabetic, so I would try to find a recipe that is diabetic friendly, or exchange ingredients to make it work.
    Thanks!

  23. This mousse looks so delicious! Peanut butter and chocolate is one of my fav combinations. If I won the first thing I’d make would probably be some fluffy egg whites for macarons. (My mixer isn’t doing that very well lately.)

  24. The first thing I would make is a batch of home made buns. I found a recipe recently that could be made with a hand mixer or by hand. We did it by hand and they turned out amazing!! I’m so happy I found it and I’ve been itching to give it another go! There’s not a lot better than fresh bread!
