* Culinary icon Julia Child would have turned 100 years old on August 15th of this year. To honor her, the folks at YC Media and Random House/ Alfred A. Knopf are launching the JC100: an international campaign involving restaurants, chefs, bookstores, and bloggers, all celebrating Julia and her legacy. Their goal is to raise one million voices in tribute to Julia, and I am honoured to participate!

Like this Silent Sunday. No words needed to describe this wonderful dish 🙂
Indeed no!
Perfect Coq au Vin, Mardi! This was some fabulous dish which we enjoyed over a couple of meals. Just perfect! I’m looking forward to this weekly challenge!
Yeah this gets better with every day!
Am sorry I missed this (out of town). Looks like a mighty fine Coq au Vin…almsot as good as mine. 😉
Many wine choices here, as I find this dish actually provides a fair bit of leeway. Red or even white, following along your preferences. Stay away from too domineering a vino though – both in terms of bold flavours (Aussie Shiraz or Primotivo, for example) or alcohol (lots of warm climate reds).
So a Chianti would be fine if you favour Italians, a Pinot Noir from pretty much anywhere (though personally I’d lean towards cooler climate), even a Bordeaux. On the whites, a Riesling or CHenin Blanc would be my preference.
Actually this one (and the subsequent one) was better 😉
Ah….this looks magnificent!
Just beautiful, Mardi!
Thanks Aimée!
