Remember this post where there was much excitement in the staffroom??? Well just over a week later and we are all REALLY in need of a little pick me up so I decided it was time to break out the hot chocolate maker and the Caramilk fondue…
First up, the hot chocolate maker. It’s about as big as a blender so to be honest, it’s not something I would buy, since we have no storage space in our tiny 100 year old kitchen… However, I am happy to have this at school and use it during the cold winter months. It’s really simple.
You just add 200g chocolate to 1 litre of milk:
and the machine does everything for you. As in, chops the chocolate and melts it, then heats up the milk:
Then when you are ready to drink it, you move the switch to “dispense” and serve it through the trivet. As you are dispensing, the machine froths the milk:
Mochacinos were made:
And there were ecstatic claims of this being the “best hot chocolate EVER” and a large chorus of “Oh MY GOD” exclamations. Suffice to say, we loved it. A great treat on a cold day ready in about 15 minutes 🙂
Next up, the Caramilk fondue set. Beautiful presentation dish so you can serve the caramel and chocolate sauces separately:
We had some surprisingly ripe strawberries:
And dipped away…
This was truly awesome. I love Caramilk chocolate (that would be Caramello for you Australians reading) anyway so it wasn’t like I wouldn’t like it… I will totally be bringing this one home from school and using it throughout the winter for dinner parties. It makes a stunning dessert that is fantastically easy and mouthwateringly tasty.
Thanks Cadbury – it was just what we needed as we head into one of the toughest months of the year for teachers….
By the time you read this, I will most likely be on my way to San Francisco for the Foodbuzz Blogger Festival… I will of course be blogging and you can also catch me on Twitter – so check in to see what I am up to and if I make it through my Bertolli Sauces LIVE demonstration…
Love that fondue and it's caramel. You also got me on that hot chocolate. I didn't know that a hot chocolate maker actually exists. 🙂
The chocolate & caramel sauces in the fondue look so good! Have a great time at the Foodbuzz festival!
Divina – Neither did I! It's pretty cool!
5 Star Foodie – thanks and you should definitely try a fondue like this!
that hot chocolate maker is fabulous – might have to put that on santa's wish list this year!
