A wordless post from inside the morning market in Luang Prabang, Laos.
Brought to you by the colours green, white, yellow and beige…
Stay tuned, there’s more tomorrow…
So many textures!
Conor – thanks for reading and yes, the different textures and colours probably deserve some well crafted words but I though this was easier on the eyes for a Friday morning!
Neat!
LL
P.S. I voted for you.
Lori Lynn – thanks! And yes, I could have spent hours in the markets!!!
lots of great stuff! I love the colors too
Jessie – thanks!
So different from western produce!
I see some similarities between the ingredients in Laos and the Philippines. Great photos.
We love heading to food markets on our trips. I see you guys saw custard apples there – we recently had them for the first time!
With a special guest appearance by Magenta. Great shots, and I really am glad you're spacing out Laos, because as we get into colder weather and shorter days, I love these vacations by proxy. Oh, and the Foodbuzz rules say we're supposed to just vote once. Darn, I was hoping for an American Idol scenario. Anyway, you've got my vote, of course.
Great pictures!
I always love local markets. The many things sold there always fascinate me as many of them are not found in normal supermarkets. The atmosphere is exciting too.
Miriam – it was awesome!
Divina – I would LOVE to visit the Philippines one day!
High/Low – yes – we wondered what they were for a few days til someone could tell us in English!
Kablooey – you could always demand a recount! 😉
5 Star – thanks!
Mary – I find supermarkets fascinating also!
just voted for ya
Rebecca (Chow) – thanks!
When I travel, it always seems as if the food is more alive…I am going to Madrid/Spain…have suggestions?
I just love the markets. Every country, every state. They all have new things to explore and to taste.
Thanks Penny – I know you preferred the FF version though!!!
Your page is very beautiful. The different types of foods and the vibrant shots from the markets……..how exciting it was to look inside of your world..you are a clone of myself……looking for that perfect shot to bring everything to life…..Good luck!
Anonymous – thanks for the kind words…
love the colors and textures, especially the contrast of the bright green and the hot pink in the last photo.
