Yeah yeah yeah, it’s Mardi Gras. Fat Tuesday. The day I used to dread when I was little because, you just KNOW that other little kids delighted in calling me “Fat Tuesday”. In any case, I’m kinda sorta over that and instead of sulking in a corner, I am embracing Mardi Gras and celebrating – over on my friend Jill’s site, Mad about Macarons.
I thought I’d make something to use up the umpteen egg yolks that come from being a manic macaron baker so a curd it was. Raspberry curd inside chocolate pie shells, topped with fresh raspberries and drizzled with melted chocolate. Don’t they look good?
Go to Mad about Macarons and get the recipe now! Happy Mardi Gras!!!
Indeed these tarts look absolutely delicious!!!!
Merci!
Those look lovely with the berries on top! Now, I need to go check out those macarons.
🙂 Cheers Cher!
Heading over there now. Happy Mardi Gras!
🙂 Thanks Ben!
Mardi, we NEVER called it Fat Tuesday. What a horrible name and so sorry to hear of insensitive sillies when you were younger. Much prefer Mardi Gras or Shrove Tuesday. Thanks for sharing these with us over at Mad About Macarons today.
You’re so welcome Jill!
Yum!! These look so good and perfect 🙂
Thanks Julie!
Kids can be so mean but the best revenge is being happy and I’m glad you are now celebrating. Going over to check out your recipe because these look too delicious not to 😉
They were pretty good 🙂
Wow, these tartelettes look even much more delicious than many other really good ones, really great.
Why thanks – I was pleased with how they came out!
I’m with you to celebrate mad about macarons!!! These looks SO beautiful and gorgeous. Love it!
Aren’t they splendid? I’m lucky to have grabbed Mardi for these, Jessica. 😉

You too!
At first I DID think these were tartlets from TWD! But I’m loving that you filled these with yummy curd 🙂
I like that they were not overly sweet…
sounds yummy!
Thanks so much!
