I am so overwhelmed and exhausted and full of good food and wine that a (few) real post(s) will have to wait until I have taken it all in but thought I would share a few pictures from yesterday to keep you going for now!
Saturday dawned bright and sunny:
Lauren from Healthy Delicious (and another Bertolli “On the Menu” blogger) and I were still on east coast time and were up super early. We went for a wonderful walk around the Ferry Building and the Farmer’s market.
(there are MANY more photos, trust me…)
Then I met up with Andrea from HighLowFoodDrink for a wonderful breakfast tamale plate from Primavera.
Some more wandering, then it was onto the Metreon Cityview where the Foodbuzz Tasting Pavilion was located.

After which I had a BIG beer, served by this lovely gentleman:
Then it was back to the room for a quick change and onto dinner at the Greenleaf Produce Warehouse:
Food and drinks galore!
The awards were handed out at the end of the (amazing) meal. ELTW did not win Best New Blog but hey, after only 6 months blogging, it’s pretty cool to be nominated. So thank to those of you who nominated and voted – I was blown away.
The night ended in the Americano bar of the Hotel Vitale. And so to bed.
Today it’s a brunch sponsored by Nature’s Pride then it’s off to the airport for me 🙁 A true whirlwind visit but WOW.

you are without a doubt the best new blogger to your readers, regardless of what those foodbuzz judges might say! so glad it was such a fun weekend and that you were able to meet so many of your fellow foodbloggers in person. i'm very envious of the strolling around the ferry terminal and market – i've seen so many places from there featured on the food network and would love to visit some day. looking forward to more stories and pictures when you get settled back in at home!
What was the demo like? Was there an audience or just people strolling by? How did you feel in the spotlight? I'm sorry to hear that you didn't "win", but honestly, you really did. Think about how many blogs get started and how far you've come. And you got the scholarship too! You've done so much since our class started, it's hard to believe that it's been the same amount of time for both of us. You really are doing marvelous. Congrats, and I look forward to more details.

Tried the watermelon wheat beer at the afternoon tasting pavillion…same fine gentleman serving and he let me have the whole can! Let me tell you, the watermelon juice was just as fresh as if it dripped from the rind. Would make the perfect cookout beer paired with corn on the cob and charred BBQ chicken.
Steve – yes, I had TWO whole cans!! (that live demo was thirsty work!) I don't like wheat beer so stuck with the IPA… Was intrigued by the watermelon one though…
