Brown bagging it

Inspired by Mark Bitten’s recent post, I thought I would give you an idea of a typical Neil packed lunch (yes, I am a big suck and pack his lunch). Today is a great day for Neil (I am out tonight at my writing class and so I know his dinner will be slim pickings – hence the gourmet lunch!)

Baby carrots and Babybel.

Roasted garlic hummus.

Lamb macoc (like a tagine) – tastes WAY better than it looks!

Couscous with lemon and mint.

The healthy dessert.

A custard tartlette courtesy of our neighbours 🙂

Packed and ready to go – bon appétit Neil!

  1. Well now I feel the potential need to defend myself…but will just say I am part of Mardi's culinary experiment. 🙂

In fact tonight I was doing a braised tenderloin with elephant garlic and a side of parmesan-cracked potatoes — however given what's in the bag, I'll forego that.

And I DID cook the lamb!
